I used this for the first time last night and my initial thoughts are that it didn’t use enough water to mop the floor, upon review this morning I can still see bit of grime and odd stain. I did another cycle again this morning and went over the same area again, it’s improved but still doesn’t use enough water on the pads leaving semi dry areas when mopping, maybe with a regular schedule it will improve over time. The app is good and it deals with obstacles and wires pretty well vs a previous robot hoover we had, and it was great having my morning coffee while watching it ‘mop’. So far though id say this is more for maintenance cleans rather than cleaning heavy traffic dirty areas.
Have had this vac to replace an older unit from a different manufacturer, and wow! My floors have never looked so good. Leaves an amazing streak free finish on hard floors and is such a quiet unit. Does everything they say it does.
Very happy with my L40, does an excellent job mopping and vacuuming.
You know it's a well designed product when even thought has gone into how it's packaged. Very easy to set up and maintain the base station. The robot did a great job mapping the ground floor, and I've used most of the vac and mop settings and no complaints! I was particularly happy that the L40 came with the tricut brush included, as the first clean I did was with the regular brush and did get hair tangles! Only improvements I would like to see is a little more help with the app, what symbols mean etc. , and a smoother user experience for multi-floor cleaning, as I had to find my trial and error the best way.
After researching robot vacuum/mops for over a year I finally purchased the L40 Ultra when the Black Friday price drops hit. The order process was very smooth and free next day delivery was perfect as well.
Robot was delivered right on time and with care by DHL. I was pleased to indeed find the Tri cut brush in the box, I read mixed messages on that on the internet. Setup process was easy enough, although carrying the robot and base station up the stairs (3 storey house) to have it map all the floors was a bit of a hassle. It mapped our house easily enough though.
After having used it for the first few days I have to say I am very impressed with the L40. When I mapped the house my wife’s office door was closed so it couldn’t map that room. However as it encountered it during the first clean the room was automatically added and cleaned. I have a toddler and 2 cats so plenty of challenges for the robot but so far it has passed with flying colours. Having porous floor tiles downstairs we knew it would struggle with dried, sunken in stains but everything else it get without issue. The obstacle avoidance has been faultless, which I was also very impressed by.
We use it with most settings set to automatic and one thing I’d point out is that it does go through it water supply quite quickly. So if you clean room multiple times a day, be prepared to refill it daily.
Overall very happy with my purchase!
